Although I’m a true SouthernHeart (I was born in Mississippi and grew up in Tennessee), I’m now living on a 58-acre tree farm in the Callahan Mountains of Oregon with my macho logger tree farmer husband. I’m the mother of three wonderful grown children and the grandmother of nine amazing grandchildren. I’m very proud of each of them, and you’ll read about them, from time to time, within the pages here. My Southern Heart is a quiet corner of this mountain top farmhouse where I don’t need a sharp pencil or a clean white legal pad. I can put on a CD by Norah Jones and relax for just a minute. I can think with my fingers on the keyboard and remember – family, friends, events and hobbies…oh, yes, I have lots of those. I love to paint, write, sew,quilt and create amazing high-quality vinyl dolls that look like real babies!
